About Carsten

I am a photographer based in Malmö, Sweden.

Photography has been a growing part of my life for many years. My photographic education includes The Photographic Picture I and II at Malmö University, together with studies in Western Art History at Lund University.

My professional life has primarily been within IT management, leadership and business development.

Photography gives me a different way of observing the world – slower, more contemplative and focused on details that are easily overlooked.

I am particularly interested in places and environments marked by time: abandoned buildings, traces of human activity, changing landscapes and the gradual return of nature.

For me, photography is not only about documenting what is there.

It is about trying to capture what a place feels like.
